JaRi Corporation was incorporated in September 1949 and is the original name for what later became Amway Corporation. The name is a contraction of the names of it's founders, Jay Van Andel and Rich DeVos. Originally a distributorship with California Vitamin Company and later Nutrilite, JaRi Corporation is also the initial upline of all Amway lines of sponsorship. The business reportedly consists of at least ten legs, including the following.

Leg 1

At the start of leg 1 is Emerald Walter Bass (This business was later sold to Skip & Susan Ross). The leg includes well known North American businesses such as Fred & Bernice Hansen, Joe & Helene Victor, Jere Dutt, Charlie & Elsie Marsh, Dexter & Birdie Yager and Bill Britt. Downline of the Marsh's are Crown Ambassadors Dan & Bunny Williams whose downline includes Founders Crown Ambassadors Dr Peter & Eva Müller-Meerkatz and downline of them, Max Schwarz, who runs reportedly the third largest Amway organization in the world and the largest in Amway Europe. Other Crown Ambassador distributorships in Dr Peter & Eva Müller-Meerkatz downline include Crown Ambassador Renate Backhaus, Crown Ambassador Michael Strachowitz. Downline of Max Schwarz includes Founders Crown Ambassador Maria Schleipfer & Willi Steiner.

Leg 2

Leg 2 reportedly began with a distributor by the name of Jordan, who had a downline Diamond, Robert Stonelake. Stonelake had 3 legs that went on to develop significant businesses. The first included Crown Ambassadors John & Pat Hendrickson, the second included Crown Directs Wayne & Kay Beaird who sponsored Crown Ambassadors Dallas & Bett Beaird. Dallas & Betty Beairds business includes Crown Ambassadors Jim & Nancy Dornan, Crowns Dave & Carol Kendall, Crowns Dennis & Kay Beecher, Crowns Howard & Faye Vaughn and Amway Australias first Crowns, David & Nadia Comyns. Double Crown Ambassador Kaoru Nakajima is also in the Stonelake business, though it is not known where.

In 1985 Forbes Magazine reported that Stonelake's downline had a turnover of approximately $90,000,000 and that he had sold it due to a drop income associated with Amway's US downturn. It is believed the business was bought by a partnership that included Jim & Nancy Dornan.
