I am an anthropologist who re-entered Quixtar/AmwayGlobal in fall of 2008. I had been sponsored into Quixtar in Spring of 2002 but decided it wasn't for me. This summer as I re-entered the job market, I started investigating alternative sources of income. I remembered the low cost to purchase the franchise and the very diverse, high quality products. When I looked at my options for a long-term career, they were all tied to large publicly held corporations with lower probabilities of surviving the crumbling economy intact or universities filled with academic politicking. These options combined with my more recent commissioned sales experience while in school to prompt me to return to Quixtar, but on my own terms and an understanding of my own limitations.

About [[Britt, Bobby & Jean|Bobby & Jean Britt]], you'd think after a couple months I'd know what my upline diamond's actual pin is. Time to call my sponsor, I suppose. I'm not even sure if Bill & Peggy Britt personally sponsored them, since they're not listed as frontline diamonds on that page. That was kind of surprising to me. I'll fill in that page as I can. I fully believe in the Amway business opportunity, but I recognize that there are legitimate complaints and criticisms inherent to the business model. After experiencing the fallout of so-called "corporate governance" in traditional business models, however, and seeing the results of MBA-managed firms beholden to institutional shareholders who file lawsuits when immediate profit is deferred in favor of long-term sustainability, I believe that Amway is the best introduction to business management, business development, independent sales, and the spirit of free enterprise available today.

Sorry if I seem to be spamming with changes, I haven't actually edited Wiki pages before. I'm a new IBO and just plugging in information where I see it and I can find information. I know others are concentrating more on people and markets and corporate details, so I figured I'd start pages that I can easily find information on like product lines that have been linked to but not created. Wonderful job all of you guys are doing, the Amway Wiki project was one of the things that convinced me to hunt up a sponsor and I figured I'd contribute in the small ways I could.[[User:IBO 2.0|IBO 2.0]] 03:22, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

About Bobby & Jean Britt, you'd think after a couple months I'd know what my upline diamond's actual pin is. Time to call my sponsor, I suppose.
