Dr. Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D is the best-selling author of thirteen books in the field of personal growth, self-talk, self-esteem, personal programming, and goal-setting. His books are published in more than 65 countries around the world.

Dr. Helmstetter has appeared on more than 1200 radio and television programs and has been a repeat guest on Oprah Winfrey, ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN News. He has been featured on over 1200 radio and television interviews in every major city in the United States.

Dr. Helmstetter spent more than five years studying the Amway business as an outside, independent researcher. He is not endorsed, paid, or financially remunerated by or associated with the Amway Corporation or any of its affiliates. In 1996 he took out a full page advertisement in USA Today and published the first of his An American Victory letters addressed to Amway Distributors. A second letter was published in July, 1997 and a third in October, 1998. In addition he launched a website (no longer actively maintained) at http://www.firedup.org. As well as the American Victory Letters, the site included an interview with Dr. Helmstetter into the Amway business as well as a selection of letters he had received from Amway distributors.
