"A bad experience with a pyramid led me to negative perception of direct selling. Pyramid carries only one or two products and their sales plan is slack. They just concentrate in building people and don't get to survive for more than three years," explains Edison. In 1983, Edison followed Sawin to an Amway gathering with a single purpose to show Sawin that this is an unreliable operations. Funny enough, Edison ended up joining Amway because of its quality products and fair sales plan. In 1999, Amway Corporation celebrates its 40th anniversary while Amway Hong Kong is into its 25th years of operation. You can just tell how established the company is. Edison has overcome ups and downs with ease and confidence. His downlines overtook him in becoming a Diamond. And he just worked twice as hard as he believed in reward would come with hard work. Edison and Sawin have three sons. The eldest, Howard is 14 and a pianist , the 12 year old Dick is into poetry recital and Edwin, the youngest is a dancer and painter. The dedicated couple are members of School Management Council (SMC) and had organised various charity visits with an aim to serve the community.
