When we qualified as Diamonds in 2004, it meant that we were totally free for the rest of our lives. It meant we could do things out of passion, not for a paycheck. The first thing we did was to move from Kansas City to Irving, Texas. Although we had built lifelong friendships in Kansas City, with many tremendous leaders there, the warmer weather and being in a more central location for our team were our driving factors to move.
We thank God for the freedom we now have ' the freedom to wake up when we feel like it, play when we want to play, and still be focused on this truly incredible business. When we reached Diamond, we celebrated our delayed gratification with five days in New York ' shopping in style!
We will never forget that FED season. We will always remember that night in Philadelphia when we were introduced onstage for the first time as new Diamonds. Our hands were raised by Chetan and Vineeta, Raj and Sangita, Kulin and Mina, and Kanti and Lata. We had visualized this moment for many years, and there were tears streaming down our faces. We could see our team and many crossline friends in front of the stage. We knew we were looking at many who would one day join us!
As we recall the years working towards Diamond, the struggles and the victories, we know for sure that this is the best thing we could have done with our lives. We know that our mission has just started. We truly expect to see many of you on the FED stage and on the beaches of the world!
