Founders Council Member

In China, there is currently no Founders Crown Ambassador 40, 50, 60, or 70 FAA pin. All current 20+ FAA qualifiers belong to a group of Founders Council Members. It IS a pin level in China. Therefore, I reverted your edits and added some of your comments into the previous version.--SP75 15:15, 3 April 2012 (EEST)

Every 20+ FAA around the world is member of founders council. But still its an Achievement not a PIN level. An Chinese Sales Director (aka Triple Diamond), Senior Sales Director (aka Crown)or Elite Sales Director (aka Crown Ambassador) with 20 FAA in one year is Member of the Fonders Council (for the next years Council), if he fells under 20 FAA, he loses his FC Membership but still is a SD, SSD or ESD by PIN. So it is an Achievement and not a PIN, because you only loose a PIN Level when you fall under Platinum Qualifikation. Mastermind
I know what you mean, but there is one problem. I will give you an example: at what pin do you think Han Shi Rong qualified? Elite Sales Director? No. Founders Crown Ambassador 40? No, there is no such level in China today. She is officially qualified as Founders Council Member 45 FAA - this is the recognition she got in an official Amway book "The World of Stars" published in 2009 (back then she was Founders Council Member 40 FAA). Another evidence: watch this video (5:57) where Han Shi Rong is recognized on stage among other 40+ FAA qualifiers during the Amway 50th anniversary recognition. On the screen, there is only a Founders Council pin, no FCA40. All distributors with 40+FAA from other countries were recognized as FCA 40, 50 or 60. While Founders Council Member is merely an achievement recognition and is not considered a pin recognition in the rest of the world, in China it also represents the highest pin level.--SP75 22:46, 4 April 2012 (EEST)

Amagrams, Amway 50th Anniversary book

thanks for the contributions! --IBOFightback 12:37, 12 January 2008 (CST)

PS In talk pages if you click the second button from the right it adds this some code which changes into your userdetails, like above and at the end of this post. It makes it easier to follow a conversation :-) --IBOFightback 17:50, 12 January 2008 (CST)
Hi Mastermind, do you happen to have German Amagrams with CAs recognitions?--SP75 18:00, 12 January 2008 (CST)

Yes, probably of Schwarz (FCA) and (50FAA), MM (FCA), Schleipfer (FCA), most Amagram D,A,CH,F, since 15years, lot more from Asia but northing scanned --Mastermind

I'll be setting up a section soon for uploading Amagrams. Was thinking of doing it as a separate site but I think we'll leave it here. I'd appreciate contributions when you can! Most of europe has had PDFs for several years now?
BTW, Amway is apparently working on a book with ALL global diamonds for the 50th anniversary. The implication is it will be everyone who has ever qualified, but it may just be 50th year qualifiers. Either way I doubt it will have the folk who've been resigned/terminated etc .... --IBOFightback 18:14, 12 January 2008 (CST)

Mastermind, could you please scan them and send them to sp75(at) If you want some US recognitions from 1970's I will send them in exchange. See the list of North American Diamonds and above I have edited here on amwaywiki and tell me what recognitions you would like to have. I have German Amagrams with Schleipfer (FCA) and Schwarz (50FAA). I would appreciate the rest of them. What Asian Amagrams do you have? Do you have the recognitions of Asian Crown Ambassadors? I would love to get Double Crown Ambassador recognition of Kaoru Nakajima. Do you have it? Again, I have some Malaysian Amagrams (for example: Peter Lee & Choi Kit, Sonny & Guat Hwa Ho, Chan Lee Sean) so I can send them to you in exchange. Thanks.--SP75 18:15, 12 January 2008 (CST)

FYI, if you put #REDIRECT ((New Article)) with square brackets as the only text in an article, it sets up an automatic redirect to the new article. --IBOFightback 18:45, 12 January 2008 (CST)

Markets and Categories

MM, could you list folks in separate country market/Categories only if they are qualified diamond and above in each market? I've just done a new article Editing Standards where we can define and discuss things like this. thanks --IBOFightback 19:11, 12 January 2008 (CST)

German Amagram

Hi, could you please upload newer German Amagrams? Thanks.--SP75 08:10, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Is Ainsworth Associates the same as Bill & Rosemary Ainsworth? --IBOFightback 17:19, 8 March 2008 (CST)

Yes it is.

Wll they're registered with Amway Australia as Bill & Rosemary Ainsworth, not Ainsworth Associates - or at least they show up that way as my upline LOS Diamonds! Are you sure about their qualifications? They're listed elsewhere as EDCs.

nor shure , probably wrong on quixtarwiki/INA

thanks for the great work on the list cleanups! --IBOFightback 19:36, 29 April 2008 (CDT)

Signing comments

Hi, it would be great if you could "sign" your comments, like this -> --IBOFightback 13:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC) It makes it easier to keep track of conversations! All you need to do is press the last button on the right on the toolbar, and it adds the code "--~~~~" which gets automatically replaced by the time and person info. Thanks! --IBOFightback 13:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Qualified Platinum

Why all the changes from "an IBO" to "a qualified Platinum". Many of your changes are not correct as you can be in qualification for Platinum at the same time as for Founders or Ruby or Sapphire. Indeed for almost any pin.--IBOFightback 17:19, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Maybe he wanted to point out that to earn any of the higher pins (Ruby and above) an IBO has to be a qualified Platinum. For example, in order to earn the Ruby award, you don't have to be a qualified Platinum, but you will not be recognized in the Amagram nor will you get the pin from Amway. The same goes for a Monthly Depth Bonus / Pearl pin.--SP75 18:19, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
I think the point is probably that at the time of the award you may need to be a qualified platinum. You don't however need to be a qualified platinum throughout the qualification period. There's nothing technically stopping someone joining January 1st, developing 6 legs of 10000PV in the first month, and maintaining the volume through to June 30. They'll qualify Platinum and Diamond at the same time. --IBOFightback 19:47, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
There is, however, one exception: first time Platinum qualification requires 3 of the 6 months to be consecutive, while Emerald only requires 3 Q-6 legs in a given fiscal year. Like in the example below, you are not a qualified Platinum, because you don't have 3 consecutive months (let's assume that "N" means the group has less than 3,000PV, so the total for all three legs is less than 10,000 PV, or 9,500PV if you consider Top-Up), though you are in an Emerald qualification from the second month.
leg #1: N-Q-N-N-Q-N-Q-Q-N-Q-Q-N
leg #2: N-Q-N-N-Q-N-Q-Q-N-Q-Q-N
leg #3: N-Q-N-N-Q-N-Q-Q-N-Q-Q-N
Although the above mentioned example seems very improbable, the question is, whether Amway would recognize you as an Emerald. I don't think so, because the Compendium clearly says that:
You can qualify as an Emerald if you:
1. Achieve Platinum qualification, and
2. Personally, internationally, or foster-register 3 or more groups which qualify at the 25% Performance Bonus level for at least 6 months of the fiscal year.
I know that this example is rather a theoretical one, but so is a Founders Pearl pin. This pin really exists (I have a photo). It is very improbable that anyone could qualify for that pin (as far as I know there is nobody who has qualified at this level), but it is possible:
leg #1 (Q-6): Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-N-N-N-N-N-Q-N
leg #2 (Q-5): Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-N-N-N-N-N-N-N
leg #3 (Q-5): Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-N-N-N-N-N-N-N
leg #4 (Q-6): N-N-N-N-N-Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-N
leg #5 (Q-5): N-N-N-N-N-Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-N-N
leg #6 (Q-5): N-N-N-N-N-Q-Q-Q-Q-Q-N-N
leg #7 (Q-2): N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-Q-Q
leg #8 (Q-2): N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-Q-Q
leg #9 (Q-2): N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-Q-Q
In this example, you have only two Q-6 legs (Emerald qualification requires 3 Q-6 legs). But you still have 3 qualified legs in each of the 12 months, so you are a Founders Pearl :-)--SP75 21:25, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Founders Pearl!! That'd almost be embarassing ... :-). Re the point though, you don't need to be a qualified platinum for 6 months to be an Emerald. You do however have to be a qualified Platinum, which may have occurred concurrently.--IBOFightback 22:57, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
I agree :-)))--SP75 23:06, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I consider the removal of info on terminated Diamonds as censorship. The wiki Diamond articles is not a list of current, qualified Diamonds - it's anyone who has ever qualified Diamond. While obviously some of the articles (eg Harteis) need work, the info about them should remain. Could you please revert your changes. --IBOFightback 21:19, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm presently having to follow you and revert each edit as you make it. Might be more productive if you just stopped! Terminated diamonds articles shouldn't be any different to non-terminated diamonsd except to categorise them as terminated and note the circumstances. --IBOFightback 10:34, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
BTW, one of the reasons why is to keep all the categories so they continue to show in lists based on category. --IBOFightback 10:43, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

I see. But I think the categories should be up to date. someone who is terminated or resigned only belongs to category (Land) (People) and (Terminated). He is not in a system or the company anymore. If you like to show that he was one Double Diamond or so you can write it in the profile, the Amagram Qualifikation sides and even on the Double Diamond Sinde and the country side.

This isn't a wiki of just "current" information. It's a historical record. Those people qualified Diamond, so they remain in the list. If we only wanted it to be qualified diamonds then we'd have to also exclude all the people who don't requalify in any give year. People who never actually legitimately qualified should not be listed, eg Shaw, Joe & Doris--IBOFightback 11:09, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Chinese pins

Hi, we should take into account that the pins are different in China. Currently, there is no Triple Diamond or Crown Ambassador pin there. Instead, there are pins such as Elite Sales Director (资深营销总监) or Founders Council Member. In a 1999 "A World of Stars" book published by Amway, there is a special section for China, but the qualifications listed there are 2 years old. Perhaps we should start separate pages for Chinese pins? Do you happen to have official qualification requirements for Chinese pins?--SP75 11:21, 27 October 2011 (EEST)

diacritics in a multilingual computing environment

Writing a name without diacritics is not lack of respect.

How do you give a search on wiki ?

Modern computer technology was developed mostly in the English-speaking countries, so data formats, keyboard layouts, etc. were developed with a bias favoring English, a language with an alphabet without diacritical marks. This has led to fears internationally that the marks and accents may be made obsolete to facilitate the worldwide exchange of data.

There are many languages in the world that use the Latin alphabet: more, in fact, than use any other script. English, however, is one of the very few among them for which the standard spelling makes use of just the basic set of 26 letters.--Gherghel 18:08, 29 September 2012 (EEST)

My friend

the correct spelling (without diacritics) for ü is ue: Mueller (for Müller)

ä is ae: Haesler (for Häsler)
ö is oe: Boeme (for Böme)

but Muller, Hasler, Bome is a different name, (and for a german name is changed to a english name) so please change to the correct spelling
