"People work for themselves. Their territory is the world and their quotas are their dreams."

As a priest with the Maryknoll Fathers in Bolivia, John Turner knew what it took to give people hope for a better future. After 16 year in the priesthood he received permission to move into the secular world, and was making the transition when a friend invited him to a business meeting in Florida. There he met Pat Rogan, whose husband had been a major in the armed forces and was killed in Vietnam. She had been raising her two teenage sons on a widow's pension and had started her business because "I needed $200 a month more to make ends meet." By the time she met John she had built a successful group. Pat asked John if he wanted to make money, and he answered, "No, I don't." Then she asked him if he was interested in helping people, and this time the answer was a resounding "Yes." They married a few months later and from then on have built their business together. "I found a spouse, a family and a business here," says John. His international experience gave him an appreciation of the way the business develops. "It's like no other business anywhere," he insists. "People work for themselves. Their territory is the world and their quotas are their dreams."
