The life we have now is incredible! – “All we wanted was money to pay the rent and cover the cost of my NUTRILITE® nutritional supplements,” Olga Reyes explains when asked, “Why start an AMWAY™ business?”

They pursued the opportunity after Omar injured his hand on a carpentry job and couldn’t work.

The couple had come here with high hopes of making a better future for themselves and their children, 12-year-old twins Jorge Alberto and Dulce Georgina. Knowing the path to that future was uncertain, they left the kids in the care of their grandparents in Honduras.

As Olga cleaned houses and Omar took day jobs in carpentry and landscaping, she became more and more depressed. “My dream was to open a restaurant with my husband. Instead we were always apart and away from our children.”

Olga’s mother shared her daughter’s struggle with depression with her brother, who happened to own an AMWAY business. “My uncle sent me several NUTRILITE supplements that really helped,” she replies.

When Omar injured his hand, they decided to learn more about what her uncle did for a living.

Jumping in, they reached 18 percent their sixth month. After seeing the significant amount of their check, “We decided to double the work. Our check doubled the next month. So we doubled our efforts again. And the next month, our check tripled!” he recalls. “By building leaders in our downlines, we discovered our income could grow faster than the effort we put forth.”

At Platinum, they left their jobs. Today, “We’re running around like crazy to go Diamond!” Omar says. “The same month we qualify, we’re sending for the kids.”

With all their bonuses, the couple has just purchased a new house for the kids’ homecoming. “We want to take them to so many places and teach them the values we’ve learned through this business,” he says. Olga adds, “We’re so thankful to God for this wonderful opportunity. The life we have now is incredible!”
