Dave Van Andel is Chairman and CEO of IdeaSphere, Inc. (Ideasphere). It is a vitamin and health food provider but not a subsidiary of Alticor.

It is the parent company for twinlab brand of vitamins, supplements and sports nutrition.

IdeaSphere purchased the rights to A2 milk in 2004 for use in USA. A2 milk is the name given to milk from cows that carries a type of protein in it's milk called A2, as opposed to A1 protein. It is thought that higher risk of diseases that can be correlated with milk consumption, only correlate to the A1 containing milk. This technology of determining the milk type is licensed for each country, and only that license holder may have access to the technology to test the milk to determine if that cow produces A1 or A2 milk. Cows fortuneatly produce only one type for there lifetime. Thus allowing the testing to be a one off. Also depending on the license deal there could be exclusivity on the us of A2 as a marketing concept.
