"After getting to know many of the leaders, I'd had enough. I wanted to build a business, too."

As assistant to the President of the United States, Doug Wead has moved with royalty and commoners, potentates and politicians. He is at home in that world. The author of 23 books, some of them written with Presidents, he is a student of history, a spellbinding interpreter of the current time, and a champion of proven principles. Doug's introduction to the business came before many of his achievements. "For two years I was on the motivational speakers circuit, which included a lot of business rallies. I was very impressed. After getting to know many of the leaders, I'd had enough. I wanted to build a business, too. I then told friends and neighbors about it just like everyone else." Some of the friends and neighbors turned out to be governors of states and members of the federal cabinet, and Doug's network grew to include an interesting representation of American leadership. A founder of MercyCorps International, one of the leading relief organizations in the world, he led efforts that raised millions of dollars for famine relief for Asia and Africa. Doug and his wife, Miriam, have two children.
