L.O.C. was the very first product of the Amway Corporation. Jody Victor tells stories of it being made in his bathtub, and his childhood job was to stick the labels on L.O.C. and Dishdrops. And that L.O.C. used to change color between batches.

At the time it was a revolutionary product on the market. This was because most detergents didn't break down in the environment, due to there chemical composition, thus resulting in foam build up in water ways. However L.O.C. broke down in the environment, thus avoiding the pollution.

The L.O.C. products are now called Legacy Of Clean as of September 1, 2009
